I've been made the best man and asked to give a speech at the wedding of a friend of mine who is an evangelical fundamentalist Christian. He and I have somewhat different views on the roles of a husband and a wife. Should I offer advice anyway (I've been with my wife 6 years), or refrain from it and speak on our friendship? Should I invoke Scripture, or would that be seen as stepping on the minister's toes?
