My macbook is having internet problems...?

My friend thought it would be funny while i was playing xboxlive to get on redtube, after i saw him on i quit out because my internet was lagging badly, now everytime i go on safari, it will quit in about a minute and not even load the apple home page. i dont want to tell my parents its messed up because they might find out after they fix it that he went on redtube, then theyll take my computer away. Is there anything i can do???
