What do you think of this story idea?

It’s about some time in the future when America is under a totalitarian dictatorship. On their sixteenth birthday, every citizen gets a car, an allowence of barely enough food, gas, and money to survive, as well as a meeting with a matchmaker of sorts who chooses an occupation and future spouse for them. There are social cles and too many rules: any criminals including gays and those who don’t practice the Central Religion are put in jail, for example. Of course there are also rule breakers: Five teens, three girls and two guys: two gifted "starcrossed" lovers pushing their limits, a , a celebrity wannabe, and the stereotypical rebel without a cause. They run away, escaping in a stolen car, with enough supplies to get them safely out of the dictatorship’s territory. That’s all i have so far, but please let me know if its promising. Thanks.
