Cubs Offseason Boggles the MInd? ?

Since the Cubs got swept by LA in 3, they have since lost Kerry Wood, Jason Marquis, Mark Derosa, Jim Edmonds, and now Felix Pie. In the process, stockpiling about 7 or 8 prospect pitchers. Jim Hendry has earned the reputation for being one of the smartest GM's in the MLB. The only logical explanation is that these players and probably some more will be headed to San Diego for JAKE PEAVY. Otherwise, someone explain to me what's going on?
