How do I get my two cats to get along and not be so unhappy?

Take a towel and rub it all over your older cat especially where their scent glands are. Take that same towel and rub your newby with it. You may have to do this several times, but once your older cat smells his own scent on the other cat, he will accept it alot faster. Good luck!
