My neighbor made my family angry so we threatened to eat his poodle with some noodles. Should we apologize?

He was making all this noise with his drinking, and started to cuss at us. My dad was drunk so he said if he wouldn't be quiet he would put his poodle in a crock pot with some noodles. He kept screaming "Poodles...and some noodles." My neighbor looked upset. Should we say sorry?
